Science Based Targets
We have committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, and it was natural for us to have targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.
Not to toot our own horn here, but we were the first company in the sector worldwide to receive this approval.
Not bragging. Just saying.

EPD’s
Because the environment only cares about facts (not opinions or hunches) we believe there should be product specific EPDs* for all materials.
And we are not just talking. We are walking – on a clear path towards our goal: By 2030 we want third-party verified EPDs, based on Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) for 100% of our product ranges.
It’s all about transparency, right!?

Fjordudsigten
A new report from Aalborg University shows that 'Fjordudsigten' has the lowest carbon footprint for finished projects in Denmark.
The social housing project in Ringkøbing shows the path towards a greener building industry. It exemplifies that achieving a significantly reduced carbon footprint doesn't have to be more complicated or expensive.
The carbon footprint is 3,0 kg CO2eq/m2/year, which is 75% lower than stipulated in the official Danish requirements.
The solution involves strategic material design but also a strong emphasis on energy efficiency from the start, resulting in significant CO2 savings. The energy standard of passive house plus and premium plays a key role in achieving a negative energy carbon footprint. By reducing energy needs significantly, the design allows for surplus solar energy production, eliminating the need for conventional heating systems. The houses provide very
cheap energy bills and a superior indoor thermal quality.
Glass to wool
With our ‘glass to wool’ concept you can give worn out windows – otherwise likely to spend eternity as road fill – a meaningful afterlife in the form of glass wool. This way, the old glass will help buildings minimize energy consumption for generations.
Also, did we mention that the glass wool used today will be recyclable at its end-of-life?
Gypsum to gypsum
Did you know that when choosing gypsum, you opt for a material that can be recycled endlessly?
In our Danish gypsum plant in Kalundborg we produce new plasterboards with up to 40% recycled gypsum – we use gypsum waste from renovations, new build, and our own production.
Round and round.
